How to make that TastyBurp!
-
Preheat your grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil grill pan to prevent sticking.
-
Prepare the marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.
-
Marinate the salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, making sure each fillet is well coated. You can marinate the salmon for as little as 15-30 minutes or longer for a more intense flavor. If you're in a hurry, you can skip the marinating step and brush the marinade directly onto the salmon just before grilling.
-
Grill the salmon: Place the salmon fillets on the preheated grill pan, skin-side down if they have the skin on. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare to medium doneness. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your salmon fillets. Be careful not to overcook, as salmon can dry out quickly.
-
Check for doneness: To check if the salmon is done, use a fork to gently flake the flesh. It should easily flake apart and be opaque in the center. If it's still translucent in the center, cook for a bit longer.
-
Remove from the grill: Carefully remove the salmon from the grill pan using a spatula. If the salmon has skin, you can slide the spatula between the flesh and the skin to separate them if desired.
-
Serve: Transfer the grilled salmon to a serving platter, garnish with lemon wedges and fresh chopped parsley (if desired), and serve hot.
- Enjoy that TastyBurp!
