  • 1 teaspoon lemon zest

  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Lemon wedges for garnish
  • Fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

How to make that TastyBurp!

  1. Preheat your grill pan to medium-high heat. Lightly oil grill pan to prevent sticking.

  2. Prepare the marinade: In a small bowl, whisk together the olive oil, minced garlic, lemon zest, lemon juice, dried oregano, dried thyme, salt, and black pepper.

  3. Marinate the salmon: Place the salmon fillets in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade over the salmon, making sure each fillet is well coated. You can marinate the salmon for as little as 15-30 minutes or longer for a more intense flavor. If you're in a hurry, you can skip the marinating step and brush the marinade directly onto the salmon just before grilling.

  4. Grill the salmon: Place the salmon fillets on the preheated grill pan, skin-side down if they have the skin on. Cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare to medium doneness. The exact cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of your salmon fillets. Be careful not to overcook, as salmon can dry out quickly.

  5. Check for doneness: To check if the salmon is done, use a fork to gently flake the flesh. It should easily flake apart and be opaque in the center. If it's still translucent in the center, cook for a bit longer.

  6. Remove from the grill: Carefully remove the salmon from the grill pan using a spatula. If the salmon has skin, you can slide the spatula between the flesh and the skin to separate them if desired.

  7. Serve: Transfer the grilled salmon to a serving platter, garnish with lemon wedges and fresh chopped parsley (if desired), and serve hot.

  8. Enjoy that TastyBurp!
